Additional Part Details:
The front lower control arms are sold as an assembly for most P80 vehicles. The ball joint and bushings are not serviceable and the whole arm must be replaced. Luckily, it is a rather inexpensive component and saves you on labor. This quality Febi control arm comes with all necessary hardware to complete the work thoroughly.
Be aware that some P80 S70 and V70 cars had 2 bolt lower control arms and some had 4 bolt lower control arms. A general rule of thumb is that non turbo cars have 2 bolt and turbo cars have 4 bolt, but this isn't a guarantee. All P80 C70s use 4 bolt lower control arms and all 1995-1997 850 models have 2 bolt control arms. Please be sure to check on your vehicle or contact us or your local Volvo dealer with your VIN to confirm which arms are on your P80 Volvo.
Also very important to note is that certain 1993 and 1994 model year 850s had serviceable ball joints on their lower control arms and that these control arms are not compatible with those cars. The pre design change 93-94 850s generally have these serviceable ball joints, but once again please confirm this with your 850s VIN. 1994 854 models (sedans) with the chassis number 131537 and up and 855 models (wagons) with the chassis number 037528 and up will use these integrated ball joint control arms.
Make sure that the provided bolts are torqued to spec, with the control arm in its natural position, to avoid twisting and ripping of the new bushings once the car is back on the ground.
