Additional Part Details:

This little switch functions simply with the brake pedal.  When the brake pedal is depressed, the white button on the switch is unloaded and causes your brake lights to turn on.  When the brake pedal isn't activated, the button is pressed in and allows the brake lights to shut off.

This switch usually fails with the button not being able to spring out enough, which keeps the brake lights on at all times, even with the key off! Luckily, this is a repair done in little time.
