This seal is used for many Volvo models as either a front main seal, camshaft seal and/or an intermediate shaft seal. On classic Volvos (excl. 960, S90 & V90) it is used as a camshaft seal (1 per camshaft) and an intermediate shaft seal. On P80, P2 and 5 cyl. P3 models it's used as the front crankshaft seal. On cars that it's used as a front main seal, it's wise to add it to your timing belt replacement routine if it hasn't been already done.
